You know your friends because they're the ones who knife you in the chest.

You know your friends because they're the ones who knife you in the chest.

I spend countless hours of my time apologizing for Millennials and Zoomers online, and it's because I love you that I tell you this.

You need to get fucking serious.

I don't use time that could be spent with my family, or just chilling out relaxing for fun, or for likes, or for cash (as I'll never grift a cent from any of you).

I didn't start this three months ago. I had a Facebook page for almost ten years, and had just under 100K followers, most from your demographic. I've been doing this, working for you, unpaid, a long time.

Because my gift is pattern recognition and seeing what's ahead for you, and it's fucking ugly. It makes my youth look like heaven.

You're right to complain that Boomers made you a shit sandwich and Gen-X wrapped it in a baggie. You're right to be angry that they didn't do more.

Well, I'm trying to do more. I'm doing literally all I can without depriving my family of their breadwinner.

I had around 500 followers from Sydney (Facebook demographic info was quite comprehensive) and there was a huge counter-protest in Sydney against the gay marriage protests the week before.

So I posted, calling for members to meet at the Cathedral and go with the protest. Simple stuff. Nothing illegal. Nothing taxing. It was a weekend.

Of 500 potentials, 7 turned up.

It was massively demoralizing, for myself and those who bothered to come. In itself it was just a march, but it presaged later efforts where I tried to get people to help me with awareness-raising events that were, again, perfectly legal and even fun and wholesome.

Barely anyone turned up.

This is your future, not mine. I'll be around maybe another 25-30 years, tops. I'll be fine. Can you say the same for yourself? For the children you'll have?

This isn't going to happen by itself.

This isn't going to fall in your lap.

Nobody is coming to save us.

I put out a call for people here to send me via DMs their ideas for small-scale, legal things they could do and oversee themselves to make a small difference.

15,000 small differences amounting to a big difference, was my thought.

Not one of you bothered.

Did any of you bother to meet your neighbors like I recommended? Did any of you take food?

Yes, I'm scolding you for not doing your chores. If I didn't care I'd be like all the rest who don't bother.

This won't happen without YOU.

This is important. You're important. Your children are/will be important. But you have to show up, mate.

Get in the game. Spectators don't win games.
